Compare Your Progress to You!

Comparing yourself to others on Instagram can be somewhat disheartening.

You see crazy body transformations and feats of strength and athleticism regularly.

You begin to wonder, why aren't I like that or why haven't I achieved that.

Believe it or not, what you see isn't an accurate representation of the norm. There are a lot fewer of these people than you think.

You're usually seeing top-tier genetics and work ethics at play. You have no idea how long they've been training for, their training schedule, nutrition and recovery practices.

It can be great to gain inspiration from these people but don't compare yourself to them.

Instead, compare yourself to yourself.

How much progress have you made since you've started? How many obstacles and challenges have you overcome? How has focusing on your health and performance improved other aspects of your life? What new skills and behaviours have you adopted?

Focusing on aspects like these will bring much more gratification and reward than comparing yourself to people that likely have advantages that you might not have.
